HC Deb 14 July 1919 vol 118 c24
48. Lieut.-Colonel HERBERT

asked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that the manner in which questions relating to important strategic and foreign affairs are occasionally evaded is giving rise to considerable public anxiety; and whether, in all cases save where definite public interests are concerned, he will cause such inquiries to be answered?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. His Majesty's Government have every desire to furnish to the House such information as can be given in the public interest.
