HC Deb 14 July 1919 vol 118 c8
3. Major PRESCOTT

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether there-is considerable unemployment in the brush trade due to Italy, Japan, and many other countries being allowed to send in brushes up to the total number imported in 1916; and whether he will give effect to the representations of the Interim Reconstruction Committee to fix the limit on the 1913 importations, with a view to relieving the necessities of unemployed workmen?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the answer which was returned to the questions put by the hon. and gallant Member for Buckingham (Captain Bowyer) on the 9th July.
