HC Deb 14 July 1919 vol 118 c34
64. Commander BELLAIRS

asked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been called to the charges made by Admiral Sir Percy Scott in the current "North American Review" for July against the Admiralty; whether he is aware that these charges follow on the serious indictment against the Admiralty in Lord Jellicoe's book, "The Grand Fleet, 1914–16"; and whether he proposes to set up any inquiry into the system of Admiralty administration which has led to the inefficiency and lack of preparation revealed by these officers who have both served at the Admiralty?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I have not seen the article referred to, hut I have called the attention of the Admiralty to it. Until it has been examined no comment can be made upon it.
