asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will state what steps are being taken to investigate the claims of the Gattie Goods Transport Scheme?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

It has been decided to appoint a small expert Committee to investigate Mr. Gattie's proposals. The names will be announced at an early date.

Mr. RAPER

Will my hon. Friend give these names to the House?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

I said I will announce them as soon as I know them.

Mr. RAPER

Will they be announced before the Committee actually sits?
