HC Deb 03 July 1919 vol 117 cc1261-2
Sir F. BANBURY

I understand the Government will not press the Committee stage now, and I beg to move, That the Chairman do report Progress, and ask leave to sit again.

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

I do not wish to press the matter now if the Committee desires further time to consider the Bill, although I do not think it will make much difference.

Lord HUGH CECIL

I hope the Government will not press this matter. It is a very great violation of all forms of the House to take the Committee stage immediately after the Second Reading.

Committee report Progress; to sit again upon Monday next.
