HC Deb 26 February 1919 vol 112 c1751
77. Brigadier-General CROFT

asked the Secretary of State for War whether it is intended to give some special recognition to the Volunteer Force for their services during the War?

Mr. CHURCHILL

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply which I gave to a similar question on the 24th February, to the effect that the grant of a badge is under consideration. I may add that Volunteer officers will have honorary rank on retirement, and the right to wear uniform on special occasions, and that Volunteers will be allowed to retain their uniforms under certain conditions, the details of which will be made known in due course.
