asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether his attention has been drawn to a statement made on the 17th instant by the acting Prime Minister in the House of Assembly, Cape Town, to the effect that Admiral Fitzherbert, the Commander-in-Chief on the Cape station, had informally offered to convey a deputation of the Nationalist party to Europe on His Majesty's ship "Minerva"; and whether such action had the approval of, or was suggested by, His Majesty's Government?
