HC Deb 20 February 1919 vol 112 c1114
45. Colonel YATE

asked the Prime Minister whether he will recommend the alteration of the Royal Warrant of August last with a view to the payment of gratuities to widows of officers who have lost their lives by disease contracted on, or aggravated by, service as well as to the widows of officers who have been killed or who have died of wounds received on service?

Sir J. CRAIG

I have been asked to reply to this question. The question of the payment of gratuities to the widows of officers who died of disease is, as I recently informed the House, under consideration in connection with the review of the Officers' Warrant.

Colonel YATE

When shall I be able to get information on that subject?

Colonel CRAIG

I will let the hon. and gallant Member know as soon as we are able to come to a decision in the matter.
