HC Deb 19 February 1919 vol 112 cc937-8
65. Captain Sir BEVILLE STANIER

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture whether the Board has taken any action to test the action of electrification of seeds; and, if so, where and what has been the result?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of AGRICULTURE (Sir A. Griffith-Boscawen)

The Board have arranged for experiments to test the claims put forward by those interested in commercial processes for the electrification of seeds. The experiments are being conducted at several centres, but as they have not yet been completed it is not possible to state what results will be obtained.

Sir B. STANIER

Can he say when it is likely that we shall get the report?

Sir A. GRIFFITH-BOSCAWEN

I can not give the exact date, but I will let my hon. Friend know as soon as possible.
