§ 49. Mr. LINDSAYasked the Prime Minister if he is aware that the censoring of correspondence between the United Kingdom and the United States causes delays in the delivery of letters; if there is now any need to maintain a censorship; and, if not, will he take steps to have it abolished?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWI would refer my hon. Friend to the answer which I gave yesterday to the hon. Member for South Down.
§ Mr. LINDSAYIf I send my right hon. Friend particulars of cases in which letters from New York were delayed at Liverpool for six days, will he have the matter considered?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWI shall be glad to receive the particulars. We quite recognise the disadvantages considered from one point of view; but the advantages are greater.
