HALLasked the Prime Minister whether it is proposed to take steps before the official conclusion of peace negotiations to secure the punishment of those responsible for the ill-treatment and torture of our wounded soldiers, sailors, airmen, and prisoners of war; whether any of the men known to be responsible for the commission of these crimes are in custody of the Allies; and, if not, will he state what guarantees have been imposed, or are prepared to be imposed, to ensure that such persons shall be effectively available for trial and punishment before peace is concluded?
