§ Mr. BONAR LAWThe answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. Everything is being done to facilitate the return as rapidly as possible to normal conditions of trade.
§ Mr. MacVEAGHIs it not a fact that continued Government control is keeping up the price of foodstuffs?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWI think that is open to question. The Government is considering at this moment the best way in which to lower prices, and there is absolutely no foundation for the suggestion that the Treasury is interfering with the selling prices.
