HC Deb 15 December 1919 vol 123 c24
40. Mr. SWAN

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture whether his attention has been called to the situation of certain smallholders in Woodlands, county Durham, as regards the annual charge known as free farm rent; and whether he will make inquiries into the facts?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of AGRICULTURE (Sir Arthur Boscawen)

I am informed that there are no small holdings in this district provided by either the Bard or the local authority, and I have received no information with regard to any other holdings. If the hon. Member will furnish me with further particulars I will have inquiries made and communicate with him on the subject.
