HC Deb 15 December 1919 vol 123 cc33-4
61. Mr. HOGGE

asked the Prime Minister what are the powers and duties of the Minister of Health and the Paymaster-General, respectively, with regard to housing?

THE PRIME MINISTER

The Minister of Health is, of course, the Minister solely responsible for housing in England and Wales. The Paymaster-General has assisted the Minister of Health so far as may be necessary as, for example, by answering questions on his behalf, and otherwise has given assistance to the Department on the London Housing Board and in other ways.

Mr. HOGGE

Has he any administrative duties?
