HC Deb 11 December 1919 vol 122 c1628
Mr. HERBERT (by Private Notice)

asked the Prime Minister whether, having regard to the vital importance to the British Empire of the decisions arrived at in the present Conference with Monsieur Clemenceau concerning the Peace with Turkey, he will see that his Pledge of 5th January, 1918, with regard to the future of Anatolia is carried out?

My hon. and gallant Friend may be assured that in dealing with the very difficult question of the settlement with Turkey the considerations referred to in the question will not be overlooked.
