§ Mr. CHURCHILLThe cost of the War gratuities in the current financial year is estimated at £71,500,000. This has now practically ail been paid. As explained in the reply to the hon. Member on 26th November, this item was excluded from the £73,000,000 stated therein. I am unable to give any figure purporting to represent the whole cost of demobilisation.
