HC Deb 04 December 1919 vol 122 c568
38. Colonel BURN

asked the Prime Minister if he will consider a proposal to erect a national memorial in recognition of the great work done by our horses in the late War?

The PRIME MINISTER

The Government are not prepared to adopt my hon. and gallant Friend's suggestion.

Colonel BURN

Is the right hon. Gentleman not aware that as a nation of horse lovers the English people would like to have a permanent recognition of the work done by our horses in the War?
