1. Mr. HOGGE

asked the President of the Board of Trade the quantity of spirits imported from the United States of America and Canada, respectively, from 1st January to 30th September?

From the United States 478,000 proof gallons, and from Canada 568,000 proof gallons.

2. Mr. HOGGE

asked the quantity of spirits exported from Liverpool and Glasgow from 12th July, 1919, to 31st October, 1919, to the United States of America and Canada, respectively?

As the answer involves a statistical table, I shall, with the permission of the House, have it circulated in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Following is the statement mentioned:

During the three months ended 31st October, 1919, the quantities of spirits registered as exported from Liverpool and Glasgow to the countries specified were as follows:—
From Liverpool Proof gallons
to the United States 9
to Canada 7,338
From Glasgow
to the United States 700
to Canada 125,573

The statistics of foreign trade are made up for calendar months, and I have not the particulars for the period 12th to 31st July.
