HC Deb 01 December 1919 vol 122 c30
56. Captain MOREING

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether a partial blockade of Roumania was declared by the Allies last summer; whether this blockade is still in force; and to what articles does it apply?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. Cecil Harmsworth)

It was decided in August last by the Supreme Council in Paris that, owing to the attitude of the Roumanian Government, it would not be possible for the facilities at that time being given by the Allied and Associated Powers for the provision of supplies to be continued. All such facilities have, therefore, been withheld until further notice.
