Hewitt, No. 156846, of the 29th Battalion, Machine Gun Corps, a 1914 soldier, twice wounded, and due for de mobilisation, has been under arrest since 6th May awaiting court-martial for over staying his leave; whether there are many 2117 other cases in the Army of this sort of indefinite imprisonment without trial; and what steps can be taken to hasten this man's trial in particular?
