62. Mr. ALFRED DAVIESasked whether the women telegraphists who joined up in the Queen. Mary's Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, and who served overseas are being refused the war gratuity on demobilisation; whether, having regard to the greatly increased cost of all articles of clothing which have to be purchased on demobilisation, and in view of the necessity for approximately equal treatment, he will reconsider the question so far as the members of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps are concerned; and whether he is able to state the War Office decision as to the future rate of pay of the women who have been retained with the Army of Occupation?
