HC Deb 15 April 1919 vol 114 c2719
71. Sir J. D. REES

asked the President of the Board of Education whether, under the existing Regulations of his Department, officers and men serving or who have served are allowed to apply for an university education at the expense of the taxpayer; if so, how long such Regulations have been or are to be in force; and what limits, if any, are imposed upon such expenditure of public funds?

Mr. FISHER

I am sending the hon. Member a copy of a leaflet which explains the scope of the Government scheme for assisting ex-Service students to follow courses of education and training, and of the Regulations for interim Grants made by the Board of Education under that part of the scheme which is administered by them.
