HC Deb 15 April 1919 vol 114 cc2713-4
49. Commander Viscount CURZON

asked the Prime Minister if any soldiers belonging to the Casement Brigade have been repatriated to this country; if so, can any statement be made as to their number and present whereabouts; and what action, if any, it is intended to take in the matter?

Mr. CHURCHILL

A number of these men have been repatriated. According to my present information, the number actually repatriated to date is thirty-three, besides the two who figured in the Casement trial. The whereabouts of the men are known, though they are not actually I understand in custody. The case of these men is now under the consideration of the Government.

Lieutenant-Commander KENWORTHY

May I inquire if any action is intended to be taken against Ukranians who joined the Germans, and are fighting against us on the lines of the Casement Brigade?

Mr. DEPUTY-SPEAKER

That does not arise out of this question.
