HC Deb 14 April 1919 vol 114 cc2492-3
51. Lieutenant-Colonel WEIGALL

asked the Prime Minister whether any decision has yet been arrived at in reference to the appointment of a Commission to inquire comprehensively into the economic conditions of the agricultural industry?

Mr. BONAR LAW

No, Sir, there has not yet been time to go into this subject.

Lieutenant-Colonel WEIGALL

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that the Agricultural Committee of this House, representing all interests and all parties, have passed a unanimous resolution in favour of this Commission?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I have said, in my answer to the question, that the whole subject will be considered by the Government. My hon. and gallant Friend will not expect me to give a reply when we have not yet come to a decision?
