HC Deb 10 April 1919 vol 114 c2226
87. Brigadier-General COLVIN

asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether, in view of the temporary addition made to salaries of Civil servants, it is proposed to accord similar treatment to retired Civil servants, many of whom have served their country for forty years?

Mr. PRATT

It has now been agreed that as a provisional arrangement war bonus within certain limits shall be reckoned for pension, but this concession cannot be extended to Civil servants who are not in receipt of war bonus at the time of their retirement.
