asked the Secretary of State for War what was the number of officers and of other ranks serving in the Mechanical Transport of the Royal Army Service Corps on the 11th November, 1918; and if he can state how many of these have been demobilised up to date?

Mr. CHURCHILL

The strength of the Royal Army Service Corps (Mechanical Transport) in November, 1918, was 4,222 officers and 159,353 other ranks; the number demobilised to date is 1,020 officers and 43,250 other ranks.
