HC Deb 03 April 1919 vol 114 c1373
56. Lieutenant-Colonel POWNALL

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will state the reasons why hops from our Colonies are not allowed to be imported free of restrictions?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the answers given on the 10th March by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture and Fisheries to questions put by the hon. Member for Canterbury, of which I am sending him a copy. The same considerations apply to hops of colonial origin.
