HC Deb 03 April 1919 vol 114 c1366
40. Lord HENRY CAVENDISH-BENTINCK

asked the Attorney-General for Ireland whether the parents of a boy named Connors, aged eleven, who was-arrested on an unknown charge, are refused all knowledge as to where he is-detained; and whether it is legal in Ireland to imprison a child under fourteen years of age?

Mr. A. W. SAMUELS

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. As regards the latter part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to a similar question on this subject asked by the hon. Member for Bishop Auckland division of Durham on Thursday last.
