93. Mr. J. JONESasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether his Circular of the 29th January, concerning the promotion of Civil servants to other Departments, applies equally to women; and, if so, whether he will draw the attention of the Postmaster-General to the Instruction?
§ Mr. PRATTThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. A further Circular was issued on 26th February to remove any possible misapprehension on the point, and was sent to all Departments which received the January Circular, including the Post Office.
