HC Deb 31 October 1918 vol 110 cc1610-1
75. Mr. WRIGHT

asked the Food Controller whether the Anglo-Swiss Nestlé's Condensed Milk Company is still being allowed to export their milk products manufactured from English-produced milk to Paris for the use of the civilian population?

Mr. CLYNES

No, Sir. The export of Nestlé's condensed milk to Paris for the civilian population was stopped as from March, 1918, as the whole output of this product is needed for our own use.

Mr. WRIGHT

Is the Hon. Gentleman aware that on Saturday last condensed milk was sold in shops in Paris to the civilian population?

Mr. CLYNES

I am not aware of that, and I should be glad to have any information about it.
