Mr. BYRNEasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if his attention has been drawn to the amount paid under the Workmen's Compensation Act; if he is aware that the amounts for accidents and deaths are the same as were paid in pre-war days; and if he will take into consideration the reduction in the purchasing power of the sovereign, which is estimated to be 75 per cent., and have the amounts awarded under the Workmen's Compensation Act increased accordingly?
