asked the Prime Minister whether any steps have been taken to establish one authority for the disposal of the surplus Government stores after 1284 the War and thereby prevent the overlapping and wastage caused by various Government Departments each disposing of their own surplus stores and property?

Steps have been taken in this direction, and the precise nature of the authority is now under the consideration of a Cabinet Committee. A definite decision will be taken immediately.
