§ Mr. WARDLEIt is an offence against the Defence of the Realm Regulations for an unauthorised person to wear the standard uniform prescribed by the Order in Council of 4th. September, 1918. To provide that no uniform except the standard uniform shall be worn by officers of the Merchant Service would require legislation, and it is proposed to introduce legislation on the subject as soon as a suitable opportunity occurs.
