HC Deb 21 November 1918 vol 110 c3462
Captain CARR-GOMM (by Private Notice)

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether it is a fact that officers, warrant officers, non-commissioned officers and men at home stations outside London are not allowed to proceed to London when off duty; whether he will state the reason for placing the London area out of bounds; whether he will say if it is a temporary measure; and, if so, how long it is proposed to keep it in force?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Mr. Macpherson)

This was a temporary measure, and the embargo was removed on the 18th.
