§ Major ASTORI have been asked to reply. The Food Controller is aware that there are certain international combinations operating in food-stuffs as well as other commodities. The Inter-Allied Food Council may be trusted to combat the dangers arising from food combinations abroad, and the hon. Member may rest assured that effective measures will be taken to prevent any rigging of the markets by trade combinations at home.
