HC Deb 12 November 1918 vol 110 c2484
29. Sir H. HARRIS

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether Thomas Lee, late private No. 78614, Middlesex Regiment, has been refused the bounty usually granted to men retained in the Army beyond their period of service, on the ground that the time during which he was a prisoner of war could not be counted as service in the British Army; whether he was retained in the Army until his discharge in May, 1918, after his period of service had expired; and whether he will take steps to remedy this case of hardship?

Mr. FORSTER

Inquiry is being made, and I will acquaint my hon. Friend of the result as soon as possible.
