§ 41. § Mr. WARDLEMy attention has been called to the case referred to by my hon. Friend, in which the policy holder had taken out an instalment purchase policy for £100 5 per Cent. War Loan. The amount deducted from the premiums in respect of expenses on the cancellation of contract by the policy holder was within the limit provided for by the contract.
§ Mr. BYRNEWill the hon. Gentleman take steps to provide for the surrender value being paid for these policies?
§ Mr. WARDLEI will consider that question, but I am afraid that it involves legislation.
