COOPERasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware that the Deutsche-Asiatische Bank in China has not been liquidated in accordance with the undertaking given by the Chinese Government in 1917; whether any action has been taken to press the Chinese Government to fulfil its undertaking; if so, what those steps were; and whether he proposes to take any further action with a view to bringing to an end the present financial power that remains in the hands of German financiers interested in China?
