§ 9. Colonel L. WILSONasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty 2080 whether in view of the fact that no increase has been made to the pay of naval recruiting staff officers during the War and that such pay is only at the rate of £200 a year, instructions can be issued for these salaries to be raised as soon as possible, taking into consideration the greatly increased cost of living and the fact that in some cases non-commissioned officers serving under senior staff officers are receiving larger emoluments than the officers under whom they are serving?
§ Dr. MACNAMARAMy hon. and gallant Friend will be glad to know that it has been decided to revise the salaries of the recruiting staff officers, Royal Marines, and the naval recruiting officers, temporarily, as from the 1st September, 1918. If my hon. and gallant Friend wishes, I will show him the details.
