§ 45. Mr. RUPERT GWYNNEasked the Prime Minister how many cases have been dealt with up to date by Mr. Justice Atkin's Committee which is considering the certificates of naturalisation granted to aliens; and how many naturalised aliens in the country still remain to be dealt with by this Committee?
§ The SECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Sir George Cave)My right hon. Friend has asked me to reply to this question. I would refer the hon. Member to the answers which I gave to the hon. Member for the Brentford Division on the 31st of October. The number of cases under Section 3—i.e., post-war naturalisation—remaining to be dealt with is about sixty. I cannot give figures as to the cases under the other Section.
