HC Deb 05 November 1918 vol 110 c1927
63. Sir FRANCIS BLAKE

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether candidates at the forthcoming election who have already had a monthly allowance of petrol allotted to them will be allowed to draw the whole or some considerable portion of it in addition to the special election allowance if the latter proves to be insufficient for their reasonable requirements?

Mr. PARKER

It will be permissible for candidates who hold special permits for use during a Parliamentary election, to use petrol which they have obtained under ordinary full-duty motor spirit licences.
