HC Deb 04 November 1918 vol 110 c1769
44. Mr. MacCAW

asked the Minister of Labour whether he can see his way to allow training to discharged soldiers who have had interrupted apprenticeships through service in the Army so that they may complete their apprenticeships; and is he aware that there are many cases of hardship where such training has been refused?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of LABOUR (Mr. Bridgeman)

My right hon. Friend is aware that hardship has been caused to men whose apprenticeship has been interrupted by military service, and a Bill to deal with the matter is in course of preparation.
