HC Deb 31 May 1918 vol 106 cc1124-5
Mr. ALBION RICHARDSON (by Private, Notice)

asked whether the Prime Minister can now state whom the Govern- ment propose to appoint as delegates to represent this country at the Conference with Germany to arrange for the exchange of prisoners, and whether they propose to include in their number Lord Newton or General Belfield, and whether the Government is prepared to give to this House an opportunity of discussing the proposed appointments before they become effective.

Mr. HOPE

This is a question for the Leader of the House, and I am sorry that I cannot add anything to what he said yesterday.

Mr. RICHARDSON

Do the Government realise that every day's delay in this matter means an additional day of intolerable suffering for our prisoners in Germany—

Mr. SPEAKER

My attention has been called to the fact that the hon. Member put down this question for Monday. It stands on the Paper for Monday, and therefore he cannot raise it now.
