53. Sir J. NORTON GRIFFITHSasked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been called to the memorial presented on 25th April, 1911, to the then Prime Minister, the right hon. and learned Member for East Fife, signed by 280 Members representing various parties in the House, that a permanent Imperial Advisory Council should be created; and will he endeavour to give immediate effect to this memorial by taking advantage of the presence in the country of many over sea statesmen at the coming Conference, so that the Government may thus have the benefit of constant advice and counsel on all matters affecting the Empire as a whole in relation to the War and the many points which must necessarily arise in connection with the organisation of trade and industry after the War?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWThe best method of effective co-operation in the War will, I am sure, be considered at the approaching Imperial Conference and Imperial War Cabinet.
