Mr. ANDERSONasked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he can state why the pay of writers engaged for the period of the War and employed at the Army Ordnance Depot, His Majesty's Gun-wharf, Portsmouth, is 6s. per week below that of writers similarly employed in His Majesty's Dockyard, Portsmouth; and if it is proposed to take any action in this matter?
§ Mr. FORSTERI understand that the wages of writers in His Majesty's Dockyard at Portsmouth have recently been increased. I will consider the bearing of this fact on the wages of writers in the Army Ordnance Department there.
