HC Deb 14 May 1918 vol 106 c209
Mr. RUNCIMAN

May I ask what Orders the Leader of the House will invite us to deal with to-day, and what time the House will meet on Thursday?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The only Orders, beyond the Finance Bill, that we contemplate taking to-day, if there is time, are the Committee stage of the Horse Breeding Bill and the Committee stage of the Small Holdings Colonies (Amendment) Bill. We have considered that it will be to the convenience of the House that we should meet at Twelve, rather than the usual time, on Thursday. We are taking this course partly because of the difficulty of getting trains. Probably Members will think it desirable not to put questions, so as to leave time for discussion.

Mr. WATT

What will be the business the first day we return?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I shall announce that on Thursday.

Mr. LOUGH

I am sure my right hon. Friend does not mean to shut out urgent questions.

Mr. BONAR LAW

I do not mean to shut out any questions. I merely suggested that Members should not put down questions, so as to save time and suit the convenience of the House.
