§ 59. Mr. PETOasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether 1706 it is proposed to place any restrictions upon the feeding of unnecessary dogs, and to make any provision for the adequate feeding of dogs essential in agriculture and for the taking of game and the killing of vermin or food not suitable for human consumption; and whether sheep's paunches can be included in this category?
§ Mr. CLYNESThis matter is now under consideration, and an Inter-Departmental Committee has been appointed to consider the whole position with regard to dogs. I may point out that some classes of tripe are made from sheep's paunches, and that the latter, therefore, cannot be regarded as unfit for human food.
§ Mr. PETOWill the hon. Gentleman man say what Departments are going to be concerned in this Inter-Departmental inquiry?
§ Mr. CLYNESI could not say without notice.
