§ 31. Mr. ROWNTREEasked the President of the Board of Education whether local education authorities have now the power to award maintenance Grants to children attending elementary schools beyond the age of fourteen; and, if so, under what conditions?
Mr. FISHERA local education authority have, under Section 11 of the Education (Administrative Provisions) Act, 1907, power to aid by scholarships or bursaries the instruction in public elementary schools of scholars from the age of twelve up to the limit of age fixed for the provision of instructions in a public elementary school by Section 22 of the Education Act, 1902.
