Major DAVIESasked the Prime Minister whether the War Cabinet have yet come to a decision to amend the Act relating to the prevention of arbitrary ejectments from their homes of wives and children of soldiers and sailors who are serving their country abroad; and whether he can state when the amending Bill will be introduced to the House?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWI presume that the hon. and gallant Member is referring to the Bill which was introduced in another place on 12th March, and will be taken in this House as soon as possible.
§ Colonel ASHLEYWill the right hon. Gentleman press it forward as fast as he can? The matter is very urgent.
§ Mr. BONAR LAWI quite agree as to the importance of the matter. We shall do what we can and make what arrangements are possible in the matter.
