47. Major DAVIESasked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the proposals for reconstruction after the War and the introduction of the Education and Ministry of Health Bills during the present Session, he will consider the desirability of all the administrative functions of the Board of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Board of Agriculture, the Local Government Board, and the Insurance Commissioners relating to Wales being grouped together in a Welsh office presided over by a Secretary for Wales 307 who would be responsible for this Department to the House of Commons, and whose duties would correspond to those of the Secretary for Scotland; and whether he will consider the introduction of a Bill at an early date to give effect to these proposals?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWI do not think that the hon. and gallant Member's proposal is practicable at the present time.
